Kassala Youth Emergency Room
An independent youth community initiative launched in response to the urgent humanitarian conditions in the country. The Room includes a group of young men and women volunteers from diverse backgrounds, united by a spirit of responsibility and a sincere desire to serve the community. We believe in the power of teamwork and the spirit of initiative, and through our activities, we strive to address crises efficiently and effectively by providing urgent support to those in need and promoting values of solidarity and creativity. Our goal is to contribute to building a cohesive society capable of overcoming challenges, ensuring a better and more stable life.
Key Successes
Kassala Youth Emergency Room has achieved many tangible successes that reflect its effective role in serving the community and promoting the spirit of volunteering. Among its most notable achievements:
Rapid Response to Crises: During the heavy rainfall in Kassala, the Room took the initiative to provide water suction pumps and assist in draining water from shelter centers, which helped alleviate the suffering of the displaced.
Health Awareness Campaigns: The Room organized awareness programs about prevalent diseases such as dengue fever through social media and field workshops, contributing to raising health awareness among citizens.
Providing Basic Needs for the Displaced: With the increasing number of displaced people in Kassala State, the Room worked on distributing kits containing essential supplies to affected families, adhering to strict criteria to ensure aid reaches those who deserve it.
Through continuous efforts, the Kassala Youth Emergency Room has proven its leading role in providing support and assistance to the local community, relying on the spirit of solidarity and volunteer work among its members.
Our Areas of Intervention
The Kassala Youth Emergency Room works to meet the community’s needs in times of crisis through a set of main pillars:
Health: Providing urgent medical services, organizing health awareness campaigns, and supplying essential medicines and supplies to those affected.
Shelter: Providing temporary and safe shelter for those affected by disasters, along with meeting their basic needs.
General Services: Contributing to the improvement of infrastructure, including rainwater drainage and sewer cleaning, to ensure a healthy and safe environment.
The Room relies on teams of trained volunteers to carry out its tasks, working in close coordination with official bodies and partner organizations to ensure a rapid response and efficient delivery of support.
